One of our mom followers on Instagram shared this amazing testimony with us a few days ago and we thought to share it here. Please read below…

Hi guys,

I have been following your page for a while now. Not only is it full of cute babies but some very inspirational & moving stories which I enjoyed reading. I have now decided to share mine if you decide to share it that is…. lol

I have been with my husband for 8 years and we have now been married for 4 years. We have both been wanting a baby for a long time now. However, back in 2008 I fell pregnant but it was an ectopic pregnancy which resulted in me loosing one of my tubes. Following this I was convinced I could not have children and doctors were lying to me when they were telling me that I am just as likely as the next person.

Anyway, April this year I went to the doctors as I usually have regular cycles and this time things were a little off. They confirmed my suspicions and told me I was 5 weeks pregnant. I was shocked, VERY shocked but excited. Something about the confirmation of it shocked me, not sure why. Because of my previous pregnancy I was sent straight to the hospital for an internal scan to check the baby was growing in the right place. As I turned up for my scan the the doctor was checking me and she said, there is another grey circle here. So I said what does that mean? She said it could be 2 babies or that could just be fluid. My response was WHAT??? She said come back in 2 weeks we will do another scan as they would have grown a bit so will be clearer. 2 weeks later I went back, they did another scan. Her words were ‘ to confirm there are definitely 2 babies in here’

I was in complete shock. Going from wanting one baby to being pregnant with 2. Non identical twins . I was shocked. Happy but shocked. At my 20 week scan they discovered that one of my babies were smaller than the other, this resulted in tests on top of tests etc which was so hard to deal with. They even spoke to me about considering terminating one of the babies and continuing with just the 1. This was heartbreaking. I never actually wanted more than one child if I was given the chance to be a mum but I have been blessed with twins. Terminating one was not an option. They carried out every test under the sun and determined there was nothing medically wrong with my baby and just agreed she was small and once born she would need time in special care unit.

Both babies are now here doing well. I had one boy and one girl. The girl was the smaller baby but she is doing well and they estimate she will be home in about 2 weeks.
As I said I never dreamed of having twins. But I would never change them for anything!!!💙❤️
